Germany x Reader - My Crush On You

Your eyes were dull as you stared down at the book in your hands, you could barely make out a single word of it, because you couldn't stop thinking about him and his words. The way he told you to leave you alone, it didn't make sense. The words just kept echoing through your head, the same strict voice was always heard as well.. it just wouldn't stop haunting you.

"Leave me alone, the only reason you're following me is because you're seeking attention. Go and beg for it from someone else"

You stopped going after Ludwig immediately after he approached you that way out of nowhere, was it really that obvious? You always kept such a great distance that it seemed nearly impossible for him to see you, you could never bring yourself to get closer to him than that until that time he told you those harsh words.

A sigh slipped your lips, instead you had made your way across the school's territory and into the library to try and set your mind off of it, but you just couldn't do it. You finally gave up on attempting to read the book and pushed it back between the others of the shelf you happened to be standing in front of.

Sometimes you found it too bad that Ludwig was an upperclassman, so you could mainly see him in breaks or after school before he'd head to the boy's dorms. You couldn't really say you had a crush on the older male, but you kept making excuses as to why you happened to go into the exact same directions Ludwig often went. No, you were just fooling yourself.. you had such a confused feeling each time to saw the upperclassman so you wanted to figure out what it was..

Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard the all too familiar voice of your best friend, Feliciano. His feet pounding through the quietness of the library until he made a stop right next to you, his honey brown eyes sparkled with excitement as he patted your shoulder.

"Ve~ Ludwig is on the running tracks right now, I figured to let you know since you weren't there as usual" You smiled at Feli, but it didn't last long before it dropped. He looked at you with a confused expression, he was the only one that actually knew you often went to look for Ludwig after all.

"It doesn't matter anymore anyway, he told me he didn't want me near him anymore" There was a sad tone in your voice as you spoke, but seeing Feli's pout meant trouble.

"Eh, pushing away my almost-girlfriend, that's just mean!" You couldn't help it, you had to hold your laughter back when you heard Feli's high pitched voice, thinking he could be strong for once.

"I was never yours to begin with" You quickly say with a giggle, you always did before he started getting ideas into his head and just call you his girlfriend at all at some point. You knew Feli had a crush on you when he bluntly blurted it out to you in the middle of the hallways once while you were on your way to math class, so you tried to say it nicely that you didn't feel the same for him in return.. of course he cried and all, but he accepted it in the end and told you he'd wait for you anyway.

You looked up at Feli when he suddenly grabbed you by the wrist, you didn't get the chance to ask what he was planning when he suddenly dragged you along out of the library and into the hallways. But it became clear when you were led to the running tracks, and that's where he finally released you. You panicked when you realized what Feli was up to when he suddenly walked up the red colored area, stopping Ludwig in his tracks once he passed by.

"Hey Ludwig, why don't you want to see ______ anymore? She's so sweet and-" Feli probably wasn't going to be done blabbering at a fast pace for a while, but you couldn't help yourself as you got that weird feeling again.. well, if that's what they call love then you had to deeply disappoint Feli since you never felt that way around him. It was quite rare to see Ludwig without his glasses on too, and you didn't realize you stared at him while he was talking to your classmate.

The moment Ludwig's piercing blue eyes glanced over at you, you looked away with a little blush. Your heart was pounding so fast now, but it bricked down each time you thought about his words and that he wanted you gone. You weren't sure what they were talking about anymore, but a moment later Ludwig came walking up to you, his expression was still as annoyed as ever.

"I'm telling you this only one more time. Stay away from me, because I'm not interested in you" You stared as Ludwig spoke, he harshly pushed you out of the way as he walked past you. You were oblivious to Feli's hand until he cleared his throat to catch your attention, but you didn't care.. you just felt as if your heart broke into a million pieces.

You didn't give Feli time to talk at all as you turned away and quickly ran off, you did hear him call your name but you didn't stop until you reached your dorm room and shut the door with a loud slam.

It was about two weeks later and your grades started dropping quickly, you often felt depressed and found yourself unable to concentrate on the classes and your homework. Feli obviously noticed it, but you kept shoving your classmate off of you and often told him that you didn't want him near you. You pretty much said that to everyone that tried to speak to you, you told them to leave you alone and go away.

You happened to be sitting on your own at lunch time that day, it didn't even touch you when Feli told you that you were acting exactly like Ludwig acts towards you. You tried your best to focus on studying what you needed to know for an upcoming exam, but nothing seemed to be working, at some point you sighed in defeat and simply shoved the book off of the table with an annoyed feeling.

"You shouldn't be so careless, this exam is important for your class" You didn't even look up when you heard the familiar voice, your eyes merely remained staring down at the table when you saw the textbook being put down on it in your view.

"Why don't you just leave me alone?" You sighed, but rather than leaving you saw Ludwig sitting down at the table from the corner of your eye.

"Nein, I'd rather not" You groaned at his answer, you were about to stand up and move yourself when he suddenly grabbed your wrist and forced you to sit back down.

"Look, just because I told you to leave me alone doesn't mean you have to treat everyone else like that. Feliciano told me everything, so-"

"What doesn't he tell you?!" You snapped, cutting through Ludwig's sentence. This time you really stood up, banged your hands ontop of the table and left, you didn't care if you caught any attention from other students at all.

Entering a rather quiet hallway, you could now hear clearly that Ludwig was following you by listening to his footsteps. So you stopped, it wouldn't make any sense to start running, he would easily catch up to you anyway. You sighed as you turned to face Ludwig, trying your best to keep up an angry expression once he stepped over to you. You took the textbook when he offered it to you, but once you attempted to walk away again you were suddenly pinned against the wall, the force of the movement caused the book to fall against the floor loudly from surprise.

"What the hell is your problem?!" You shouted, looking up into Ludwig's piercing blue eyes that were behind the glass frames of his glasses. You tried to struggle from his grip on you when he didn't respond but his grip on your wrists was too tight as he held them against the wall next to each side of your head.

Your eyes shot wide open when Ludwig suddenly pressed his lips against yours, but that was all he did. A couple of seconds later he stopped, stepping back a couple of steps and leaving you at the wall. You didn't realize you blushed until you saw the light pinkish color appear on Ludwig's own facial features as he looked away, he crossed his arms while he looked hesitant for a moment.

"I liked the way you were, not the way you are" That's all Ludwig said when he casually walked past you, leaving you behind on your own. It did make you feel partly guilty now though, thinking about that cheerful personality you used to share with Feli, was that what he liked? You would probably never understand why he told you off like that the other times..

You decided to head back to your dorm room for now.

The next day you entered the school's building, there was quite a weird feel in the air. When you were about to enter your homeroom class, Ludwig appeared to be waiting at the door, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.. he had an uneasy expression on his face with a light blush, and he stopped you when you were about to just quietly enter the classroom.

"_______, can you please take it from their hands when you get the chance? And besides that.. I guess I'll see you later today" You were confused as you watched Ludwig walk off to go to his own classroom. You weren't even sure whatever you were supposed to take, and off whose hands either. Ludwig seemed embarrassed about it, and his personality changed quite a lot since the day before.

You entered the classroom and went ahead to sit down at your desk, only to have Feli to greet you like he usually did. He seemed a bit worried at first, afraid that you were going to nag at him for him telling Ludwig about how you acted a lot lately, but it was soon replaced with a smile when he saw your own happy features.

"Ve~ I'm so happy for you, even though I'm upset it's not me at the same time!" You frowned, unsure of what Feli was getting at.

"What?" You quickly asked in return, you watched as Feli motioned at someone to come over to your desk. You blinked as you saw Kiku approaching the two of you before he suddenly put something down in front of you at the desk, you blushed almost instantly when you saw that it was a picture of you and Ludwig in the hallway from the day before, kissing!

"W-what the hell, Kiku!" You shouted, taking the picture and quickly hiding it in your schoolbag. Feli couldn't help but laugh, and Kiku just wore an innocent little smile.

"I couldn't help myself, I just happened to be around" You groaned at Kiku's innocent answer, it was obvious that Ludwig wanted you to take this away from them. But on the other hand, you probably weren't going to plan to dispose it either.. It made you wonder if Ludwig changed his mind on you.

Oh boy.. was this going to be a long year..
